Arriving at school
To provide your child with the best opportunity for success, it is essential that they arrive at school on time to adequately prepare for the school day, with formal instruction beginning at 8:50am.
Students and their parents who arrive early are kindly asked to wait in the undercover area beneath B Block until 8:35am. At that time, a staff member will guide students to their classrooms to ensure they are prepared for the day ahead.
Departure from school
Students are dismissed from class at 2:55pm (students catching buses are dismissed at 2:50pm). Once dismissed, students are expected to proceed directly home or attend any afternoon programs as arranged by their parents or caregivers.
If a student is not collected by 3:05pm or by an alternative time previously arranged with the family, they should report to the office.
Parents and caregivers who collect students in private vehicles are kindly asked to ensure that their children are not left waiting for extended periods after dismissal.
For the safety of younger students, particularly those in Prep, Year 1, and Year 2, we request that parents or caregivers collect their children from the classroom or the school gate and escort them to the vehicle.
If arriving before 2:55pm, please wait quietly in one of the covered areas and proceed to your child's class after the 2:55pm bell. We ask that you use the pedestrian crossing and crossing supervisor for safe passage, setting a positive example for our students.
For safety reasons, parents are asked not to drive into the school grounds.
Students collected early
Parents and caregivers wishing to collect students early from school are required to:
- Notify the school in advance, either by note or phone, regarding the intended early collection, either on the day or prior to the dya of collection.
- Report to the administration office upon arrival to sign the child out.
- Ensure that students meet with parents or caregivers at the office before departing the school.
This process ensures the safety and proper documentation of early departures.
